M-30 is an upgrade of the Soviet KM-16 pilot's mask. The Soviet mask KM-30, produced according to its own design, was a great improvement over the mask KM-16,

It is the first Soviet pilot's mask that did not allow it to be fixed with special ties for the back of the head over the pilot's leather helmet. That is why, unlike the KM-16 pilot's oxygen mask, the KM-30 mask required a helmet equipped with special hooks for its fixation.

The KM-30 was also the first pilot's oxygen mask equipped with an occipital press.Absolutely rare mask, considering that it was produced for a very short period of time and in very low quantity.
