Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK) was established in 1779 and it is the center of higher geodetic education in Russia and the largest educational institution of this type in Europe. But in 1779 was officially named as Land survey school under the Landmark Chancery by decree of Catherine II.
Only in 1993 it starts to call Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK)
In 1997 Vasyli Tsubliyev graduated from the Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK).
