Cosmonaut Vasily Tsibliyev Soyuz TM-17 Mir EO-14 Flown Kodak Control Print. Size 8.3/4” x 4.1/4” Fine condition.
These control print is unique, which, after film development and printed on Earth, was delivered onboard the Mir Orbital Complex and then was returned to Earth on the Soyuz TMA-17 Transport Vehicle on January 14th, 1994. The copy of the letter from cosmonaut V. Tsibliyev will include with the photo print.Two official stamps of Mir Space Station on the back of the photo.
Here is translation of cosmonaut’s letter below:
"On the 15th of July 1993, I was able to try out photos onboard the Mir Orbital Complex during a joint Russian-French flight to determine the quality of Kodak photographic film and determine its properties (in space).
Controlled photo prints depict the views of the Earth, the cloud structure, the construction elements of the Kristall Technological Module docked to the Soyuz TM-16 Spacecraft that was used for testing the Androchno-Perideriar System of the Buran (ROSCOSMOS) and Shuttle (NASA) docking. Furthermore, it also depicts Lake Balkash in the sunlight. Slicks are visible on the water surface of the lake. These control prints are unique, which, after manifestation on Earth, were onboard the Mir Orbital Complex and then were returned to Earth on the Soyuz TMA-17 Transport Vehicle on January 14th, 1994.
