Protocol N11. Special (Communist) Party File.
The meeting of Amur District Committee of All Union Communist Party bureau, protocol N 6 from July 19, 1938
Presented: Makogonov (secretary of district Party Committee), Govlich (head of district NKVD headquarters), Kuranov, Igonin.
Reported: An announcement from head of NKVD c. Govlich about the wrong arrest. c. Gribov Aleksander Georgievich, member of Communist Party, member of political department was arrested at the Party Conference (!) instead of c. Gribov Ivan Vasilievich, the former secretary of the All Union Lenin's Youth Communist Organization, who turn out to be a member of Right-Trotskyist organization.
Decided: The member of district bureau considering that this outrageous fact as a result of unacceptable negligence and whose responsible should be punished severely. The investigation has to be conducted which has to find those who guilty and punish them. Com. Gribov and his wife(!) has to be returned their Party membership and completely rehabilitated.

Interestingly enough, almost all of this people were arrested later as a people’s enemy and severely punished.
