Flown Mir Space Station postcard dedicated to 50th Anniversary of formation of The Normandie-Niemen Fighter Regiment on Soviet territory. 

The postcard has multiple cancelations from board of Space Station Mir, as well CNES Altair seal.

The postcard signed by Soviet Cosmonauts V. Tsybliev, A. Kalery, G. Manakov, as well French astronaut Jean-Pierre Haigneré.

Size 6: x 4” or 15 cm x 10 cm. Excellent condition.

The unit served on the Eastern Front of the European Theater of World War II with the 1st Air Army. The regiment is notable for being one of only three units from Western Allied countries to see combat on the Eastern Front during World War II, and Normandie-Niemen was the only Western Allied unit to fight with the Soviet forces until the end of the war in Europe.
