F. Yurchikhin became a member of the Expedition 15 on the ISS. His flight began on April 7, 2007, when he launched aboard Soyuz TMA-10 together with Oleg Kotov and spaceflight participant and tourist Charles Simonyi.
F. Yurchikhin was aboard when Simonyi gave a live telebridge conversation on Tuesday, April 17, 2007. He served as the commander of the Expedition 15 mission.
On October 21, 2007; he returned to Earth inside the Soyuz TMA-10 capsule after spending 196 days and 17 hours in space.
