Soyuz MS-02 was a 2016 Soyuz spaceflight that was planned for a 23 September 2016 launch, but because of technical difficulties it launched on 19 October 2016.
It transported three members of Expedition 49 crew to orbit and docked with ISS. Soyuz MS-02 was the 131st flight of a Soyuz spacecraft. The crew consisted of Russian cosmonauts Borisenko, Ryzhikov and NASA astronaut S. Kimbrough Soyuz MS-02 docked with Poisk (MRM-2) module on 21 October 2016.
Soyuz MS-02 returned to Earth on 10 April 2017.
During its descent, the capsule was partially depressurized when the main parachute deployed. The landing occurred at 11:20 UTC. The total flight duration was 173 days.

Shane Kimbrough is a retired United States Army officer and NASA astronaut. He was part of the first group of candidates selected for NASA astronaut training following Space Shuttle Columbia disaster.
Shane Kimbrough is a veteran of three spaceflights, the first being a Space Shuttle flight STS-126, he was a Mission Specialist, the second being a six-month mission to the ISS on board Soyuz MS-02. He was the commander ISS Expedition 50, and returned to Earth in April 2017.
In July 2020 Shane Kimbrough flew to space on Space X Crew -2 as Commander.
Andrey Borisenko is a Russian cosmonaut. He was selected as a cosmonaut in May 2003, and is a veteran of two long duration missions to ISS.
Borisenko served as a flight engineer aboard Soyuz TMA-21 ISS Expedition 27, the 27th long-duration mission to ISS. He also served as the commander of ISS Expedition 28. He launched for the second time in October 2016 aboard Soyuz MS-02 as a flight engineer of ISS Expedition 49-50. He returned to Earth in April 2017.
Sergey Ryzhikov is Russian cosmonaut, a lieutenant colonel of Russian Air. He is a veteran of two long duration space flights to the ISS on board Soyuz MS-02 (ISS Expedition 49-50) and Soyuz MS-17 (ISS Expedition 63-64).
