Buran Space Shuttle index 0.01 is a full-size test model. Buran 0.01 was used for re-static strength tests and for testing of air transportation with the Myasishchev M-201M aircraft carrier.

After all tests Buran Space Shuttle 0.01 was supposed to be used for the cosmonauts training.
