He served as ambassador to the United States from 1914 until 1926 and had been Dean of the Diplomatic Corps from February 1925 to August 1926.
Typed letter, size 10” x 7.1/2,” signed Juan Riano as an Ambassador of Spain to United States, in Washington, May 15, 1923. It was a reply to Dr. Clarence J. Owens, managing director of the Southern Commercial Congress, for the invitation to attend the Centenary celebrations of the promulgation of the Monroe Doctrine at Richmond.
