Juan Riaño y Gayangos (1865 –1939), a Spanish diplomat.

He served as ambassador to the United States from 1914 until 1926 and had been Dean of the Diplomatic Corps from February 1925 to August 1926.

Typed letter, signed as Juan Riano as an Ambassador of Spain to United States, in Washington, September 1st, 1916. It was a reply to senator Duncan U. Fletcher invitation to attend the Southern Commercial Congress.
