“Caserta 15 April 1798
Dearest Friend, I am sending you the letters from Paris, Cifra and the letter from Gallo which accompanied them. I am infinitely comforted to learn that the sedition is not against our Reign, he feels that I should be at ease that it is effectively directed elsewhere. I am also sending you this evening the letters of Nizza and of Messina, regarding the relationship of Micheroux and Ishondy. Thanks to God, I am feeling much better, having passed a good night. I hope also that you ar4 at ease and that you feel in your heart that this augurs well.

A Spanish Bourbon, Ferdinand succeeded to the wo kingdom when his father and predecessor became King of Spain as Charles III. Ferdinand married Marie Caroline, sister of Marie Antoinette of France.
