CEREMONIAL FLAG SOYUZ TMA-15M ISS EXPEIDITION 42

CEREMONIAL FLAG SOYUZ TMA-15M ISS EXPEIDITION 42

$0.00

Ceremonial Banner of Soyuz TMA-15M ISS Expedition 42.

The size of the banner is 39” x 59 “, double faced.

The graphic symbol of the Soyuz TMA-15M is stylized as an aerobatic instrument - an artificial horizon, which reflects the profession of a pilot, which all crew members own.

Gold-colored solar panels, like instrument arrows, along with the outline of the Soyuz spacecraft, are positioned against the background of the command scales of the lateral and longitudinal channels. This corresponds to the position of the spacecraft with a roll of 15 ° (serial number of the Soyuz) and a pitch of 51 ° (inclination of a given orbit).

The Soyuz spacecraft, flying over the Earth, compositionally connects the left side of the emblem, which contains the image of the flight target - the ISS, and the right side, with the rising sun - a symbol of knowledge and renewal. A shadow in the form of an airplane, which combines the features of the MiG-29 (nose), F-16 (fuselage with wings) and AMX (tail unit), accompanies the spacecraft and indicates the inextricable link between aviation and astronautics.

Large, with long beams, stars against the background of the constellations Auriga and Cassiopeia symbolize the flight of the cosmonaut and astronauts of this expedition. The total number of stars corresponds to the last two digits of the launch year (2014), taking into account the Sun - the year of return (2015).

The names of the crew members and the name of the ship, written in Cyrillic and Latin scripts, are located along the outer contour of the scale.

Soyuz TMA-15M was a 2014 flight to the ISS. It transported three members of Expedition 42 crew to the International Space Station. TMA-15M was the 124th flight of a Soyuz spacecraft, the first flight launching in 1967. The Soyuz remained docked to the space station for the Expedition 43 increment, serving as an emergency escape vehicle until departing and returning to Earth as scheduled in June 2015.

Crew: Commander Russian cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov, Flight Engineer 1 ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti, Flight Engineer 2 NASA astronaut Terry W. Virts Jr.
