CEREMONIAL FLAG SOYUZ TMA-14M ISS EXPEIDITION 41
CEREMONIAL FLAG SOYUZ TMA-14M ISS EXPEIDITION 41
Ceremonial flag of Soyuz TMA-14M ISS Expedition 41.
The size of the flag is 39” x 59 “, double faced.
The graphic symbol of the crew is made in the form of the window of the International Space Station, through which the Soyuz spacecraft approaching the docking station is visible. The rising sun in the background marks the beginning of a new expedition to the ISS, which will contribute to broadening the horizons of knowledge on the way to new achievements in space exploration. The names of the cosmonauts, the name of the spacecraft and the Roskosmos logo are printed on the border of the emblem.
Soyuz TMA-14M was a 2014 flight to ISS. It transported three members of the Expedition 41 crew to the International Space Station. TMA-14M is the 123rd flight of Soyuz spacecraft, the first flight launching in 1967. The Soyuz remained docked to the space station for Expedition 42.
Soyuz TMA-14M remained docked to the ISS—serving as an emergency escape vehicle—until March 11, 2015, when it departed and returned Russian cosmonauts A. Samokutyayev, Ye. Serova and NASA astronaut Barry E. Wilmore to Earth. After undocking from the ISS at 22:44 UTC on 11 March, the spacecraft deorbited and its descent module along with the mission crew landed safely just over three hours later, at 02:07 UTC on 12 March.
